Illinois GOP State Convention

Republican women were among many in the Wheeling Township delegation this past weekend in Decatur. It was obvious by the attendance that there is tremendous interest and a desire to strengthen and grow the Illinois Republican Party. The potential is there and I was very encouraged! We networked with others, listened to speakers from legislators to party leaders. Even our nominee for President, Sen. John McCain who was with us via telephone. Members were also involved with voting on the convention floor. Our own Wheeling Township Committeeman and women's club chairman, Ruth O'Connell was honored with the Henry Hyde Excellence in Leadership Award!
