Saturday, Sept. 9 We Do Care is staging a Celebrate America Family Freedom Festival from noon to 10 p.m. rain or shine. This third annual festival is all about supporting our troops. It will be at the Metra station in downtown Barrington – plenty of free parking available. Booths will be available to sign up to adopt a soldier, send a care package and participate in other great support efforts. Sign a giant banner to be sent to the troops who are protecting us in harm’s way. At noon the USO will put on a program; 2-6 p.m. will feature events for children and teens; music all evening, a beer garden and food. A climbing wall, face painting and a moon walk for the children. A wonderful way to support our troops, celebrate our country and inculcate patriotism in our young folks.
